AGS will have a booth at the upcoming Nova Scotia Gem and Mineral Show in Parrsboro from August 18-20th. The Society will be selling AGS items, providing a rock and mineral ID booth, and sharing geoscience with the many visitors to the event. See you there!
AGS will have a vendor booth at Maritime Mega V, major geocaching event in Fredericton – registration is available at https://www.maritimemegav.com/. The main event is on Saturday, July 8, at the Journey Wesleyan Centre, 131 Duncan Lane, Fredericton, NB.
In addition to the booth, AGS members Martha Hickman-Hild and Sandra Barr will be participating in a workshop from 11:30-13:00 on Demystifying EarthCaches, including information on how Earthcachers find, create, and write an EarthCache including tips on answering the questions. The objective is to make the Geocacher more comfortable with the process of answering and creating EarthCaches. Sherry Fillmore, along with her partners in Nova Riddlers, are the top EarthCache publishers in Canada, with over 200 EarthCaches published.
