Who we are

The AGS Education Committee’s vision is that all residents of Atlantic Canada have an appreciation and understanding of the Earth Sciences as it relates to their lives and communities. For more information on the committee, please see our Terms of Reference that outlines our mission, committee structure, can committee business.

Current activities

• The Education Committee was involved in producing a Nova Scotia Minerals and Gems brochure that follows the style of the Nova Scotia Rocks and Nova Scotia Pebbles brochures.
• The Committee was also actively involved with outreach activities for teachers as part of the Halifax 2022 meeting.
• The Education Committee further supports the Photo Guild (more details to be posted soon).
